CLIMATE CHANGE COLLABORATIVE (C3)

The C3 Projects Initiative

In 2021, EECG and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Southeast Asia and Africa introduced a new collaborative network strategy to mitigate and adapt to local climate change threats. EECG awarded these partners financial support to initiate action ideas on-the-ground; the projects are known as Climate Change Collaborative (C3) projects:

The project provided a platform for local communities living in Zanskar to become self-reliant and capable of finding solutions to challenges posed by climate change. The main project activity was organising a conference in which local villagers learned about the challenges posed by climate change and ways to adapt. The second main activity was the formation of a water management network consisting of 10 participants from the conference, along with subject matter experts who were then trained on identifying sites for building ice reservoirs.

Education to Action for Climate Change

-Preston Mutinda Education Foundation-

The project will mobilize action at the grassroots level through community-centered education on climate change. Targeting vulnerable populations, the project will involve development of educational content, community workshops, hands-on training, climate science basics, impacts on local livelihoods, mitigation strategies, adaptation measures, and sustainabile practices. The project aims to "plant seeds of knowledge that will grow into a forest of climate-conscious decisions."
